10th Doctor x Reader- Before you changed.

 … I first met you.

 

You were exhausted. The previous day was your birthday and your friends have kidnapped you for a surprise party in a private club and they held you until midnight. You even appreciate the gesture of your friends, but you don’t feel like partying. Your life was very complicated, your relationship with you family wasn’t very well, beyond things of college and work, you were very exhausted.

After being able to find an excuse to get out of your surprise party, you called a taxi that took you to the entrance of your small apartment where you lived. While trying to open the front gate, you hear a distant hum in that made you look back, and down the street you saw some kind of light flashes. Curious, you went down the street as quiet as possible to avoid attracting anyone's attention. After arriving at the end of the street, your eyes widened in surprise when you noticed a police blue box, you were sure that it wasn't there earlier.

Slowly you approached the blue box, and when you try to open the front door surprisingly it was unlocked. You decided to take a peek and what you saw in there, made you stumble back until you hit someone. Quickly you turned to the person to apologize.

“I-I’m so sorry, I don’t see you there” you said.

You looked at the person who was staring at you. It was a somewhat taller man than you, spiked hair in all directions; he wore a long coat over brown pinstripe suit. But looking at your face, you quickly worry about the strange man. His expression was neutral, but you noticed his brown eyes showed pain and anguish.

For some reason you felt affection for him. He looked tired and lonely like a lost puppy in the street. You shook your head with this comparison.

“Are you alright?” You asked carefully.

He blinked as if he had come out of a trance and looked at you.

"Yes, yes I'm fine," He said, "How did you open the TARDIS?" He asked as he walked to the blue box.

“Excuse me?”  You said in confusion.

“The TARDIS” he pointed to the police blue box

"I-I didn't mean to... I mean, this blue box had never been here before and I saw stop in here, and then I tried to open and was simply unlocked... and the box... I... I think I'm seeing things"

A smiling shadow appeared on his face.

"What’d you mean by 'seeing things'?"

"It... seems bigger on the inside" you whisper to him, like you telling him a secret.

Maybe it was tiredness or perhaps a drink you had at your surprise party, but you swore that had seen a room inside the little blue box, full of strange things and what appeared to be a control panel. But you didn't tell to strange man, he would think you were crazy.

He looked at you with raised eyebrows, and he opened his mouth to say something, but his body trembled and he would fall to the floor, but you ran up to him and strongly held his shoulders.

"Are you sure you're okay?" You asked again looking at the strange man's face.

He went out of your grip and took a deep breath.

“Don’t worry” He said hoarsely "It's the first time she does this"

You expression changed from concern for confusion in the blink of an eye.

“What?”

“The TARDIS” pointed to the box again "She never let anyone in without me around...  ever."

He sighed and turned his gaze to you.

“What’s your name again?” He asked.

“I never said my name” You reply.

He raised his eyebrows, and a fun spark went through your eyes.

“(Y/n)” you said after a pause “(Y/n) (l/n)”

He gave you a little smile.

"Nice to meet you (y / n) (l / n), I'm The Doctor"

 “Doctor Who?”

“That’s the question” he smiled.

You stood in silence, hesitant to talk about. The doctor's brown eyes were resting on you waiting for you to say something.

"So... this blue box... it's really yours?"

“Yes”

"And it's really bigger on the inside?"

The doctor opened the door a little and looked at you defiantly.

“Do you want to see it?”

You stood in the same place for a few seconds, hesitant if you go in there or not. Maybe it was some sort of kidnapping, in which as soon as you pass the door, the Doctor would lock you inside the box and somehow carry the blue box to some strange location. After all, you don't know him. He didn't tell you his name; he just said it was the Doctor. Who call yourself "The Doctor"?

Or perhaps the lack of proper sleep was leaving you a little paranoid.

Anyway, you walked hesitantly to the front door. The Doctor stepped back to let you pass. You take a look at him and he was looking curiously at the expression that you did. He encouraged you to continue and so you did. As soon as you stepped into the blue box, who the Doctor called the TARDIS, you let out a gasp and the Doctor grinned.

“Oh my gosh”

You were right! There was a room within the TARDIS that was much bigger than you thought. But how was that possible?

You ran back out, and you noticed that the doctor was enjoying her reaction. You took another peek into the TARDIS and then outside. It was not his imagination.

You ran around the TARDIS, fingering the structure to make sure it wasn't some kind of illusion. You patted all over the outside of the TARDIS and you confirmed. It was made of wood.

When you came back into the TARDIS you were panting.

“H-How this is possible?” You asked "Is this some kind of new technology?"

Then you noticed that you were alone in the TARDIS.

“Doctor?”

When you left again the mysterious blue box, you noticed a beam of blue light at the beginning of the street that became increasingly distant. On impulse, you started to follow that light, for some reason you had an idea who caused it.

"Doctor" You called in a low voice when you were near the light. The Doctor was walking quickly with some kind of metallic object that was emitting a buzz and blue light.

"Doctor, where are you going?" You asked him, when him was consulting the metallic object for some reason that you don’t know.

He turned to you, and you noticed that painful brightness in his eyes again.

"I have to do something quickly, before I regenerate..."

“What?” you hissed.

“I…”  Doctor sighed and ran a hand over his face "I'm in the process of regeneration, but something called the TARDIS here"

He looked at your (e/c) eyes.

"I'm slowing down the process a little, but I need to be fast."

For some reason, you felt fear by the look he gave you. It looked like he was trying to say something through his eyes.

"You should have gone home" the Doctor said.

“But…”

"Since you are here, everything will be faster," he said.

Then he grabbed your hand and you two ran into the unknown.
